Letter to CB on his 10th birthday

My sweet littlest love,

You are in the double digits today. Ten. I don’t know how that’s possible—I swear you were just born last week.

You were the easiest baby, so calm and content, always happy to snuggle close. And somehow, you’ve carried that same sweetness with you as you’ve grown. You are kind, funny, and so incredibly smart. And yes… wonderfully, fiercely stubborn. When you set your mind on something, you don’t just stand your ground—you triple down. I see it, and I know one day that determination is going to take you far.

Your favorite color is black… at least for now. It changes, just like you’re growing and changing. But there are things about you that stay steady—your big heart, your curiosity, and the way you love so deeply.

You have so many of your mama’s traits, and I see pieces of myself in you every day. I hope you find something in this world that lights you up, something you’re truly passionate about. Because if there’s one thing I know for sure, it’s this: when you decide you want something, there’s nothing that can stop you.

You love your cats—especially Milo—and the way they bring you joy has always been so special to watch. You’ve always had a gentle soul, especially with the things (and animals) you love.

We love you more than words can ever hold.

Letter to CB on his 9th birthday

Sweet CB

You are one sweet, tenacious child.   Each day you are filled with wonder, amazement and smiles.  Your mood changes with the wind and always ends in a smile, hug and an, I love you.  Your forehead kisses makes this mama happy and I dread the day when you stop giving them to me or when you stop giving me the heart sign as you walk into school. I already miss your toddler years which somehow are very far behind us. 

Your love for life, family and BFF, I wish I could bottle.   You wake up talking and talk until you fall asleep.  Your French is getting better and I love hearing you speak it.  You still love A but no longer think you will marry her. 

MineCraft is your favorite game and love it when I play with you.  You build me houses in the sky and homesteads.  You are patient with me as I navigate playing with you. Daily, sometimes multiple times you tell me you love me and that I am the best mom you know.  I cherish these moments. 

You still snuggle nightly and love your kitties.  Our new puppy is your best friend. Watching up you two play brings me so much joy.  So does watching how much you have grown into a strong bravery boy who stands up for himself. You love your friends and family hard.   You are a straight shooter and love to make others smile. You love to help others and will give your last dollar to help someone else out. 

I hope you keep your sweet, genuine, curious, loyal, loving, giving spirit. You make me proud to be your mama. You sweet alleycat, love you to the moon and back.  Always & forever.

8th birthday letter to CB, 🩷Maman

Hi my sweet little love. Bon anniversaire mon fil gentil. You re my sweet little man who loves learning especially languages. You are the sweetest, loviest, smartest, funniest, love bug. You kiss your Mama on her head and cheek often. In fact it’s our morning drop off routine.  You get out and kiss me through my window.  It’s my fave part of the morning.

You love chasing chickens and snuggling Mama. You love your daddy and brother as well just not as much, per you.  You make me smile daily.  With your wit and sassiness. I love your snuggles and kisses. I am so thankful I am your Mama.  Life is so much sweeter with you in it.

I lost my first tooth

I lost my first tooth.  It is the bottom front left one.  I finally lost a tooth at 7.5 years old.  Mama says I am growing up.  I like being her baby but she keeps saying she is raising me to be a good human and to leave her.  No way am I leaving her. Ever! 

I am in 2nd grade but I don’t like it.  I just want to play and school is no fun.  I wish mama would homeschool me but daddy sAys no.  I love mama more than daddy.  I tell him daily!  I need to make sure he knows I love mama more. She is nicer and she snuggles me. And I just love my mama.  I give her forehead kisses like she gives me and she loves them.  

JB has been nicer. That’s been nice.  This FSU trial seems to be working. So that’s good. I sure love him.  Well when he’s being nice.   I like nice JB. I do not like mean JB 

My fave food is still chocolate sandwiches

Letter to CB on his 7th birthday from Mama

Hey CB

Happy birthday you sweet sweet boy. Your sweet snuggles and your sweet forehead kisses make me a happy happy mama.  Your sweet big bright eyes light up a room,  You smile so very much and rarely get mad but when you do. Man your face gets red you talk fast like me and you jump up and down like me. But you hold grudges like your daddy haha.  We get such a kick out of you. You make us so very happy.   Even your brother would be lost without you.  You guys are bffs it is something I had hoped for and am so happy seeing come true before my eyes.  You want  his approval on everything and will even share things with him first.  He loves you too even when he calls you annoying,  he takes out his frustration in life and at mom and dad on you,  it’s not fair but you are so resilient. You use your words and set boundaries.  It’s been such a pleasure watching you grow into such a kind empathetic little human,

Daddy’s day out

Today daddy took s bowling with uncle Greg.  We were having fun then I pooped my pants.  I didn’t mean too I felt really bad. But daddy carried me out so the poop wouldn’t fall on the ground and got it on his shirt.  Haha he was mad. I didn’t mean too.  So he cleaned me with cold water bottles and I drove naked to the store until daddy got us new clothes

Then we went back at bowled!  I love daddy

We bought a farm

 We bought a farm!  We did.. I did not want to leave my old house but I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEe that farm 

We have turkeys, and chickens, and horse and DOGS!!  We love our new place. 

Mama sleeps in our room with us and she is so warm and snuggly. 

I love riding horses. It is fun and scary all at once.
